THE REVISIONMENT OF THE GATEWAY FOR VENICE / Chiok-Junn Li
Many centuries ago the historic gateway into Venice was St Marks Campanile Tower. However times have changed and the location of the “true” gateway has changed. This project proposes to re-establish a modern gateway into Venice. At this new gateway people from all around the world will once again have the chance to truly enter the city of Venice in style. The program and festivities of the gateway aim to invoke a welcoming atmosphere for tourists and allow them to travel high in the sky, just like the campanile and for the first time, see the true view into Venice.
