Carefully balanced between the worlds of art and science, Ponte Padiglione
dell’Accademia becomes an object of desire like Venice itself. Half transparent,
shimmering, glowing, alive and poise with clarity and tectonic strength, the
inhabitable gallery across the Grand Canal becomes an embodiment of the city.
The structure is inspired by the local shipbuilding industry and vernacular venetian
human and marine art.
